Lunavic LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PackTrip mobile application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use PackTrip.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile information.
Trip Data: We store trip details, messages, votes, itineraries, bookings, expenses, and receipts that you create within the app.
Location Data: If you enable location sharing, we collect your real-time location. This data is shared only with your trip group members and is not stored beyond the active session.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics data about how you use the app, including features accessed and session duration, to improve the service.
Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers for service optimization and security.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide and maintain the PackTrip service; (b) process your transactions and subscriptions; (c) deliver AI-powered travel recommendations; (d) facilitate group communication and collaboration; (e) improve and personalize your experience; (f) send important service notifications; and (g) ensure the security and integrity of our platform.
3. AI and Data Processing
When you use the AI chat feature, your messages are processed to generate travel recommendations. We do not use your personal conversations to train AI models. Chat data is processed in real time and recommendations are generated based on publicly available travel information.
4. Map Data
PackTrip uses map data from OpenStreetMap, a community-maintained open geographic database licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). When you use the map feature, your device connects to OpenStreetMap tile servers to load map imagery. OpenStreetMap's privacy policy applies to this connection. We do not transmit your personal information to OpenStreetMap servers.
5. Weather Data
Weather information is fetched via AI-assisted queries to publicly available weather sources. Your device location or trip destination may be used to retrieve relevant weather data. This process does not involve selling or sharing your location with advertising networks.
6. Third-Party Payment Services
PackTrip does not process payments or access your financial accounts. The app provides convenience links to third-party payment services including Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, and Zelle. If you choose to use these services, you will be subject to their privacy policies and terms of service. Lunavic LLC does not receive, store, or have access to any payment account credentials or transaction data.
7. Data Sharing
With Trip Members: Your profile information, messages, votes, bookings, and expenses are visible to other members of your trip groups.
With Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the service (such as cloud hosting and analytics). These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
We Do Not: Sell your personal data to third parties, share your data with advertisers, or use your trip data for purposes unrelated to providing the service.
8. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes).
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) object to or restrict processing; (e) data portability; and (f) withdraw consent. 11. Children's Privacy
PackTrip is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The app may contain links to third-party services (such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, or booking websites). Lunavic LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of these services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
13. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in accordance with applicable law.
14. California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Lunavic LLC does not sell personal information.
15. European Residents (GDPR)

16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of PackTrip after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
