Terms and Conditions
Welcome to PackTrip, operated by Lunavic LLC. By downloading, installing, or using this application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or accessing PackTrip, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you accept these Terms in full. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use this service.
2. Description of Service
PackTrip is a group travel planning application provided by Lunavic LLC that offers AI-assisted chat, group voting, itinerary building, booking tracking, calendar views, interactive maps, and expense tracking features. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration. You may not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
PackTrip offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("PackTrip Plus") at $1.99 per month or $12.99 per year. A 3-day free trial is included with new Plus subscriptions. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are subject to the respective platform's refund policies.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you post, including messages, photos, receipts, and travel details. By posting content on PackTrip, you grant Lunavic LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and process that content within the app for service delivery purposes. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
6. AI-Generated Content
PackTrip provides AI-powered travel recommendations. These suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational purposes only. Lunavic LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. Always verify important details (such as safety information, visa requirements, and booking details) through official sources.
7. Map Services
PackTrip uses map data provided by OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Map tiles are delivered via OpenStreetMap's tile servers subject to their Tile Usage Policy. The map feature is provided for informational purposes only. Lunavic LLC makes no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of map data.
8. Weather Information
Weather data and forecasts displayed in PackTrip are obtained via AI-assisted web lookups and third-party weather data sources. This information is provided for convenience only. Lunavic LLC does not guarantee accuracy and is not liable for decisions made based on weather information. Always consult official meteorological sources for critical travel decisions.
9. Expense Tracking and Payment Links
The expense-splitting feature is a tracking tool and does not process financial transactions. Lunavic LLC is not a bank, payment processor, or financial institution. Links to third-party payment services (such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, and Zelle) are provided for user convenience only. Lunavic LLC has no affiliation with these services and is not responsible for any payments, fees, disputes, or issues arising from their use. All payments made through third-party services are solely between the users and those services, and are subject to their respective terms and policies.
10. Privacy and Data
Your use of PackTrip is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.
11. Location Sharing
PackTrip includes optional location-sharing features for group coordination. Location data is shared only with members of your trip group and only when you explicitly enable the feature. You can disable location sharing at any time through your device settings or within the app.
12. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the service for any illegal purpose; (b) harass, bully, or threaten other users; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service; (d) upload malicious software or harmful content; (e) scrape, crawl, or collect data from the service without permission; or (f) impersonate any person or entity.
13. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the PackTrip application, including but not limited to the name, logo, design, and proprietary code, are owned by Lunavic LLC or its licensors. Third-party components (including OpenStreetMap data, open-source libraries) remain subject to their respective licenses. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any proprietary part of the application.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lunavic LLC and its members, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.
15. Disclaimers
PackTrip does not endorse or guarantee any hotels, flights, restaurants, or other services mentioned in the app. We are not a travel agency and do not assume liability for third-party bookings or services. Travel involves inherent risks, and users are responsible for their own safety and decisions.
16. Modifications
Lunavic LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted in the app, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
17. Termination
Lunavic LLC may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with AAA rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
